Potassium peroxymonosulfate is a powerful oxidant, an effective biocide against all known families of viruses pathogenic to humans and animals, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeasts and fungi;

Potassium peroxymonosulfate causes oxidation of microbial glycoproteins, polypeptides, and nucleic acids. It reacts with sulfhydryl groups of proteins present in viral capsids;

Sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate acts as a surfactant, which ensures contact of the oxidant with pathogens; reacts with membrane lipids and causes denaturation of the membrane proteins of microorganisms due to oxidative stress and the action of free radicals;

Organic acids combined with an inorganic buffer create an acidic environment and optimize the biocidal activity of potassium peroxymonosulfate;

Active in the presence of hard water, organic additives and low temperatures;
